It is a new school year.

It is monday morning and Mr and Mrs Carter are at home. Their house is in Bath, a beautiful city near London. The Carters, with their children, Jenny, Paul and Mark, are in the kitchen now for breakfast.

Mr Carter is ready for work but the children are not ready for scholl. Mrs Carter is not happy because she is late.

MRS CARTER:Come on, children. It's time for scholl. I'm late for work.
JENNY: I'm ready, Mum. Where is my coat? It's cool in the morning.
MRS CARTER: Well, it isn't summer now. September is always cool. Here is your coat, Jenny.
JENNY: Come on, boys! It's time to go. Oh, where are they?
MRS CARTER: They aren't ready yet.
PAUL: OK, Mum. We're ready now.
MR CARTER: Your friends are here.
JENNY: Is Kate there? Oh yes, she is! Bye!
MRS CARTER: Have a good day at school.
BOYS: Bye!
MR CARTER: Goodbye!
