Hello, same as many, we use PF sense rules as wall but our mechanics allow only legit players to connect with main serve ip through Metin2Client

Our protection operates at the network level and can process unlimited traffic volume. The actual capacity depends on the server's network port speed, hardware resources, and the hosting provider's infrastructure. Under normal conditions, the protection can handle very large amounts of traffic without any predefined GB cap.

What you mean by “vibecoded af”?
pretty much whitelisting ips then using pf rules to limit traffic

this won’t work against botnet attacks since they’re essentially flooding your server with connections that either your bandwith will be filled or you’ll have kernel level constraints (socket limit/cpu exhaustion etc)

If you are really interested in this concept research how can you place proxies in front of the game servers, otherwise all software solutions will fail at scale unless there’s a physical component in it

None in the metin2 area provide real ddos protection , and what u said against botnet, to have a good bandwidth its depend of where customer server is hosted.

but recently we got our own ASN (AS202260) and we are in discussions to get a 30TBS mitigation VAC xD
