This has nothing to do with item loss, if you’re experiencing item loss on shutdown you’re either not flushing the cache layer in game instances or your shutdown sequence is wrong or you’re not gracefully shutting down your game/db instances.

I thought this system would interfere with the server's shutdown system, which is why I asked this question. However, after using it, I saw that it only does nothing except temporarily close the channel to prevent players from logging in and alerting them. For example, it's a tool for a continuous announcement instead of having to type the /n command every now and then to alert players.
