Turkcell Süper Lig'de 6. haftanın önemli maçında gülen taraf Bursaspor oldu. Ligin ilk 5 haftasında aldığı 4 galibiyetle dikkatleri üzerine çeken yeşil-beyazlılar, 6. haftada karşılaştığı şampiyonluk adaylarından Galatasaray'ı da 2-1 mağlup etti.
İlk 5 haftada 2 beraberlik alan Galatasaray bu sonuçla sezonun ilk yenilgisiyle tanışırken, Bursaspor 6. haftada 5. galibiyetini aldı.
Bursa Atatürk Stadı'nda tamamen dolu tribünler önünde oynanan maça ev sahibi etkili başladı. Yusuf'un liderliğinde hızlı ataklar geliştiren Bursaspor, ilk 25 dakikada Adriano ve Sercan'la net fırsatları harcadı. Yeşil-beyazlılar oyundaki üstünlüğünü 38. dakikada Mustafa Sarp'ın golüyle skora da taşıdı: 1-0.
